A weekend at Windermere for open water swimming, adventure, and a shared love of the outdoors. Every Body Swim: Gill Castle We’re excited to welcome Gill Castle as a guest speaker and swimmer at this year’s Arla Great North Swim. Every Body Swim: Dr. Shahnaz Hassan Dr. Shahnaz Hassan who lives in Coventry talks about her experience of open water swimming . Every Body Swim: Sarah Wilson Sarah found swimming helped her physical and mental health after she had her leg amputated. She decided to take part in the Great North Swim to give back to the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Every Body Swim: Vickie Orton Vickie Orton, 55, lives in Otley, West Yorkshire. She took up swimming last year after a friend encouraged her to come along for a 70th birthday celebration. It’s been hard to get her out of the water since! Every Body Swim: Rhianon Gale Rhianon Gale, 44, lives on the Fylde coast in Lancashire. She took up swimming a year ago to help with the trauma and grief following the deaths of her parents and brother, as well as a number of health conditions. Every Body Swim: Mark Shayler Mark Shayler, 56, lives in Leicestershire. He says he was ‘changed, saved almost’ by cold water swimming, and signed up for the Arla Great North Swim to celebrate how swimming has transformed his life. Every Body Swim: Bill Moore Bill Moore, 87, lives in Wakefield. He’s been swimming competitively for 40 years. Bill has a number of Great North Swims under his belt - he’s been coming along for 15 years! - but this year he’s making it a family affair.
