British Gas Great North Swim

Nova International, organisers of the Great North Swim, has been advised today by the Event Safety Group that the event, which was due to be staged on Saturday and Sunday September 4th and 5th at Windermere has been postponed because of the prevalence of blue- green algae. This decision has been taken in the interests of safety of swimmers after further stringent water quality checks were completed.
